ABOUT

I'm an abstract artist, born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, United States. My studio is a 3-foot by 5-foot kitchen table. I rely on my skills to produce powerful abstract artwork. Painting is a form of creative freedom for me. I don't follow many art principles.

Juan Chavez is an abstract mixed-media artist based in Fort Worth, Texas. His work explores themes of transformation, renewal, and self-discovery, inspired by his journey from corporate life to a more intentional and health-focused existence.

Through vibrant compositions, Juan channels the emotional and physical shifts he experienced—leaving behind the confines of cubicles, monotonous routines, and the corporate grind to embrace a life of movement, nature, and mindfulness.

Using acrylic paint, found papers, joint tape, shredded cardboard, and even egg cartons, Juan creates layered works that invite viewers to reflect on their own paths of growth and the beauty of embracing change. His work has been featured in local exhibitions, including Kettle Art Gallery and For the Love of Artists 2025.
